The Office for Gender Equality was established on February 3, 2004, pursuant to the Regulation of the Croatian Government (Narodne novine 18/04) as an expert service of the Croatian Government for the performance of professional and administrative tasks relating to the realization of gender equality in the Republic of Croatia. It started operating in March 2004.
